ADVERTISER VS CAMPAIGN LEVEL DATA

ADVERTISER VS CAMPAIGN LEVEL DATA

If you are looking to run multiple campaigns within a single Advertiser, using Advertiser Level Data may be a better choice. However, if you are looking to run just one campaign, using Campaign Level Data is all you need, and you can switch to Advertiser Level Data when you plan to run more campaigns.

Advertiser Level Data makes it easier to set up future campaigns.

Campaign Level Data is more useful for products or special offers that are only around for a limited time i.e Boxing Day Sales.

What are the benefits of each?

Here is how you set this parameter:

1.

Start by selecting your desired Advertiser to see a list of its campaigns. Choose the campaign you would like to work with.

2.

Within the ‘Edit Campaign’ drop down menu, click ‘Product’. You will then be taken to the product settings page, where you can choose to create product data for ONLY the campaign you selected or for ALL campaigns within the Advertiser.

Advertiser Level Data allows you to continuously update product data for all of your products making them all available to run with multiple campaigns simultaneously. For example, an auto dealers product data will be used for all campaigns.

Features:

1.

Faster to set up more campaigns in the future.

2.

More ways to upload product information – either by data feeds or the pixel.

3.

Filtering options (ie. flexible data usage – choose which attributes to display in the ad – mileage, price, etc).

4.

Most effective if you run multiple campaigns.

Campaign Level Data is more useful when you are looking to apply product information that is applicable to a specific campaign. For example, this would be used when you want to display a subset of products in a promotion. Also best if you only plan one campaign.

Features:

1.

Lower cost due to fewer products.

2.

Campaign Level Data can only be given to Adacado via data feeds.

3.

Campaign Level Data uses exactly all the available products in the data feed (no filtering like Advertiser Level Data).

Note: The first time Advertiser Level Data is set up during campaign creation, it can not be edited again in the creation flow. Users will have to go to Edit Advertiser > Datasource, in order to update this. So, the creation of subsequent campaigns that use Advertiser Level Data have a different screen where all the user can do is set filters. Advertiser Level Data updates for all campaigns using it. Campaign Level Data is completely separate from all other data.
