ADACADO may collect certain information you voluntarily provide which may contain personal information that specifically identifies an individual, such as your name, address, company name, telephone numbers, email address, other contact and demographic information. (”PII”). For example, you may choose to send ADACADO, PII about yourself in an email or by completing an online form or submitting comments on the Site. PII may also be collected if you provide such information in connection with creating a profile, leaving comments, posting content, sending an email or message to another user or participating in forums or features on the Site. Once collected, ADACADO may store your PII for a reasonable time for record keeping purposes. The information that ADACADO stores is usually deleted as space requires or in the normal course of business. ADACADO may store and process PII in the United States and other countries. In general, ADACADO uses PII to process your requests; to provide you with information or services you request; to inform you about other information, events, promotions or services ADACADO thinks will be of interest to you; to facilitate your use of, and ADACADO's administration and operation of, the Site; for general purposes relating to the Site or ADACADO; and for the purpose for which the information was provided ADACADO may use your email address to send you updates about new services, promotions, special offers, and other ADACADO communications. ADACADO reserves the right to send registration confirmation emails and service status messages to Clients. ADACADO offers you the ability to control the email communications sent to you. ADACADO will always give you a chance to unsubscribe and discontinue receiving ADACADO email communication. Clear directions for doing so will appear in any email message ADACADO sends to you.
Non-Personally Identifiable Information
ADACADO may automatically collect certain information when you use the Site, such as your IP host address, pages viewed, browser type, Internet browsing and usage habits, Internet Service Provider, domain name, the time/date of your visit to the Site, the referring URL and your computer’s operating system (”NonPII”). ADACADO uses this information to understand Site traffic and for maintenance of the Site. Aggregate information (e.g., data ADACADO collects about use of the Site, or about a group or category of products, services or users, from which individual identities have been removed) helps ADACADO to understand trends and users’ needs so that the Site can be improved or otherwise tailor the Site. This Policy in no way restricts or limits ADACADO's collection and use of aggregate information.
Cookies and Web beacons
ADACADO may automatically collect certain information through the use of “cookies” and web beacons. Cookies are small text files that contain a string of alphanumeric characters and are stored on a user’s hard drive at the request of a Web site to enable the site to recognize users who have previously visited them and retain certain information such as customer preferences and history. If ADACADO links cookies to any PII, this information will be treated as PII. Web beacons (also known as “1X1 pixels” or “clear GIFs”) are small strings of code that provide a method for delivering a graphic image on a web page or in an email message for the purpose of transferring data. ADACADO may also use third parties to serve ads on the Site or to help track and analyze aggregate usage and statistical data from individuals who use the Site. These third parties may place cookies, web beacons or other devices on your computer to collect NonPII, and information provided by these devices may be used, among other things, to analyze data, to determine the popularity of certain content, to deliver advertising targeted to your interests and to better understand the usage and visitation of the Site and the other sites tracked by these third parties. This Policy does not apply to the use of third party cookies or web beacons. Third Party Sites
ADACADO Technology is used by ADACADO, Clients and other third parties to serve advertising on websites of Clients and other third parties. You may encounter ADACADO Technology when an ADACADO Client purchases or sells online advertisements on a website that you visit; and/or when an ADACADO Client places an ADACADO web beacon on its website, which you visit. ADACADO uses the information collected by ADACADO Technology in order to help make the online ads you see more relevant to you, for ad delivery and reporting purposes, and for other purposes described in this Policy.
Information Collected by ADACADO Technology
ADACADO does not collect PII via our technology. If ADACADO discovers that PII has been inadvertently collected by our technology, we will take reasonable steps to attempt to remove the PII and to address the situation. ADACADO technology does collect certain NonPII (e.g. IP address, browser type, referral URL, etc.). This information is used to help make the online ads you see more relevant to you, for ad delivery and reporting purposes, for measuring and tracking the success of advertising campaigns, and for other purposes described in this Policy. This Policy in no way restricts or limits ADACADO's collection and use of aggregate information.
Cookies and Web beacons
ADACADO recognizes that many people are concerned about the privacy and protection of information as it is transmitted over the Internet. ADACADO uses security measures that are reasonably designed to protect data in our control from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. Please be aware, however, that no data security measures can be guaranteed to be completely effective. Consequently, ADACADO cannot ensure or warrant the security of any data or other information. In particular, ADACADO cannot guarantee that data or other information will not be disclosed, altered, or accessed in accidental circumstances or by unauthorized acts of others.
ADACADO processes information in a way that is compatible with and relevant for the purpose for which it was collected. To the extent necessary for those purposes, we take reasonable steps to ensure that any information in our care is accurate, complete, current and reliable for its intended use.
Disclosure of Information to Third Parties
ADACADO does not share PII collected from you on the Site with non-affiliated third parties except as described in this Policy. ADACADO may, however, share your PII with vendors, consultants and other service providers (“Service Providers”) who are engaged by or working with ADACADO in connection with the operation of the Sites or its services who need access to such information to carry out their work. In some cases, the Service Provider may be directly collecting the information from you on ADACADO's behalf. ADACADO may also share personal information with other third parties when you give your consent to do so. ADACADO is not responsible for the actions of Service Providers or other third parties, nor is ADACADO responsible for any additional information you provide directly to these Service Providers or other third parties, and you are encouraged to become familiar with their practices before disclosing information directly to them. Nothing herein restricts the sharing of aggregate information, which may be shared with third parties without your consent. ADACADO may share Non-PII collected from you on the Site or through the Technology with Clients and other third parties. Similarly, ADACADO may enhance the Non-PII collected from you on the Site or through the Technology with Non-PII collected from Clients.
ADACADO may disclose your personal information to third parties in the good faith belief that ADACADO feels authorized or obligated to do so by law, or that doing so is reasonably necessary or appropriate to comply with the law or with legal process or authorities, to respond to any claims, to protect the rights, property or safety of ADACADO, its users, its employees or the public, or to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding suspected or actual prohibited activities, including but not limited to, fraud and situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person.
ADACADO may disclose and transfer any information, including without limitation PII and NonPII, as part of, or during negotiations of, any merger, consolidation, sale of assets, bankruptcy, financing or acquisition or in any other situation where personal information may be transferred as one of the business assets of ADACADO.
ADACADO is especially concerned about protecting children's privacy. ADACADO hopes that parents and teachers are involved in children's Internet explorations. The information ADACADO gathers and the products and services provided on the ADACADO Site are aimed at people who are 18 years or older. When identified, all information given by a person under the age of 18 will be destroyed.
